Start with a short, manageable trip: get settled, prepare for work and return with your first earnings. This is a suggested reading path, not a timed challenge.
Get your bearings
- Let your character and inventory finish loading.
- Check the phone, food and water in your starter supplies. Keep enough room for anything you buy or collect.
- Find your residence or trailer marker and note how to return. Read Home and Storage before sharing access.
- Check your cash and bank balance. Keep a reserve for supplies, fuel and transport rather than spending everything on equipment.
Your starter vehicle is provided through the trailer garage. A vehicle in storage will not be parked beside you until you retrieve it.
Set up your phone
Press P with a phone in your inventory. Check its battery, then open the App Store and install the apps you need. Jobs, Bank and Keys are useful first choices.

Prepare to travel
Retrieve your vehicle from the garage, check its fuel and condition, and buckle up with B. Use U to operate a vehicle lock when you have access. Read and follow the requirements shown for your vehicle and server.
