Owning or renting a vehicle creates a garage record. The vehicle must be retrieved and active in the world before you can drive it or use it for a job.
Retrieve your vehicle
- Approach the appropriate garage interaction and open it.
- Select the vehicle and review its status, fuel and condition.
- Use the retrieval option when available. Keep the spawn area clear.
- Wait for confirmation and locate the spawned vehicle before requesting anything again.
Your starter transport is provided through the trailer garage. If it is not listed, confirm the selected character and garage, then check for a loading error or impound record.
Before you drive
- Check your licence requirements, fuel and vehicle condition.
- Enter the correct seat and fasten the belt with B.
- Use U to toggle the lock when you have access.
- Use the available refuelling interaction and review the cost before confirming.
- For damage, use the appropriate repair interaction and supplies or arrange help from a mechanic. Owning a toolbox does not provide unlimited repair materials.
Keep some money for running costs. A vehicle purchase price is not the full cost of using it.
Share access carefully
Install Keys from App Store. Select the vehicle and the intended nearby recipient, then read the action before confirming.
Give key shares access. Transfer ownership changes who owns the vehicle. Use the correct option for a loan versus a sale, and wait for confirmation. Check the vehicle's current access list rather than assuming every person in your group can operate it.
Store, rent or recover
Return within range of the relevant garage, select the active vehicle and use Store. Wait for it to be recorded as stored. Parking beside a garage alone does not complete this step.
For a rental, read the cost and expiry shown before accepting. Finishing a job does not extend the rental or turn it into permanent ownership. Garbage and Delivery require the matching active job vehicle, as described in Legal Jobs.
For an impounded vehicle, review the garage's Impounded section, including its reason and release fee. Follow the recovery option available for that record before expecting normal retrieval.
Troubleshooting
Check the selected character, garage, active-versus-stored status, spawn clearance, permissions and any rental expiry or impound notice. Report a persistent problem with the vehicle name, plate, garage and exact message through .
