Read a recipe before collecting materials. Knowing the exact item and quantity helps you choose a useful gathering trip and avoids filling your storage with the wrong supplies.
Everyday material sources
| Material | Starting route |
|---|---|
| Scrap | Search eligible trash or scrapyard interactions. A search does not guarantee a useful item. |
| Iron and copper | Gather and process the appropriate ore, or inspect raw-scrap recycling recipes. |
| Coal | Mining activities. Check the recipe's exact requirement. |
| Planks | Cut and process wood through the Lumberjack workflow. |
| Blades | Eligible scavenging rewards or the relevant workbench recipe. |
Other players can supply these materials through trade. Agree the quantity, item type and price, then check the goods and payment result.
For the gathering routes, use the existing Miner and Lumberjack guides. Raw ore or a log is not interchangeable with a finished ingot or plank.
Scavenge without wasting a trip
Approach an eligible search point and inspect its action. Some searches need equipment or have a cooldown. Leave room for the result, complete the interaction and read its outcome before moving on.
Scavenging can yield different supplies or nothing useful. Do not plan a purchase or production run around a guaranteed item from every search. Keep ordinary food, water and medical preparation in mind while travelling.
Recycle raw scrap
At a suitable workbench, inspect recipes that convert raw scrap into useful stock. Check the output and input quantities before starting: the recipe determines what you receive.
Finished equipment does not have a general dismantling or material-refund loop. Do not buy an item expecting to break it back into all its ingredients later.
Plan a small production run
- Choose the finished item you actually need.
